The King County Ferry District currently operates two routes:
King County Water Taxi: Vashon Island/Downtown Seattle route
King County Water Taxi: West Seattle/Downtown Seattle route
Service began on Monday, April 5, 2010 between Seacrest Park in West Seattle and Pier 50 on the downtown waterfront.
The 2010 season ushered in a new vessel and improvements at Seacrest Dock including: a wider, longer gangway to meet accessibility guidelines, new concrete floats, a change in docking orientation and a new fare structure and policy.
Year-round service began in January of 2011. The service provided on this route was previously referred to as the Elliott Bay Water Taxi.
